This type sword was equipped to the most valiant military battalion"Green flag battalion (Lu Ying)" in Qin Dynasty (1644-1911). Apart from being a major weapon for soldiers, this unique type of sword alsoadopted by a strange infantry troop, the famous "rattan shield battalion", due to its compact size, unique shape and light-weighted design.
While one hand using the shield to block attacks, skilled soldiers were able to roll-in and use this one handed compact size blade to perform fast stabbing slicing horse legs and/or charge enemies' archer/spear arrays.
Hand forged from 1075 high carbon steel, this tough blade has been hand forged into unique thick T-back shape to minimize the weight while maintaining maximum strength. The unique T-back goes right through to the tip for further ensure the stabbing utility.
As all high quality Enlightenment swords, this blade also has been differentially heat treated, hand polished and sharpened, an special Enlightenment stamp and the ancient Chinese characters of "Qin Dynasty Green Battalion flat Dao" are engraved on each side of blade.
Full tang goes all way through to the unique trapezium shape pommel, assimbled in traditional method by hammering the end of tang into pommel, an extra pin is then placed .
Hand guard is molded from whole piece solid aged brass, Handle is wrapped with brown string byusingtraditional Chinese sword knots, one of most traditional yet difficult way of handle wrapping.

Sheath and handle are made from fine Chinese dark Paudak wood, withbeautiful nature wood grains
