Zi Dian literally means "purple lighting", was the original name for an antique sword belong to King Sun-Chun in three kingdom period of China (A.C 220~265), one of his most precious 6 swords collection.
According to the record, the name of Zi dain was given because when using this jian, it felt like a lighting strike with extreme speed.
Enlightenmentswords has spent consider amount of effort to design and reproduce this Zi dian Jian to represent such original unique characterizes.
This nice sword is hand forged from 1075 high carbon steel into unique Qin Quan blade shape to minimize the weight while retaining the total strength of blade . 1075 is a superior steel than 1060, both in its toughness and flexibility, and that is why our high carbon steel swords always use 1075 rather than 1060.
After our special differential heat treating process, this unique swift blade is then hand sharpened into 3 section sharpness edge and hand polished. The sword name "Zi Dian" and Enlightenment mark has been engraved on the blade during the forging process, our trademark and stamp of approval.
The hand guard was carefully caved into traditional shape by using super thick brass pieces in order to obtain the unique sharp and the total strength with lighter weight.
Handle and sheath are made from selected fine quality Chinese redwood, for life-time durability and beauty
Thick full tang construction with traditional plum flower pin added on handle for authentic looking and total strength as well as perfect balance.
